I read the BBC news website every single day and I did not see this report – I saw it through going to a different motoring article and seeing a link to the article above.
All publications shout it from the rooftops if the biking community can be made to look bad – 40% of motorbikes are untaxed! This report now states that it is more like 10% which is probably better than the car driving community…
Let’s not forget that biking for a lot of people is a seasonal thing, so they may only tax their vehicles for 6 months of the year – agreed that SORNs should be completed and sent back, but still!
Cut bikers some slack – they are firmly regarded by all other road users as the scum of the roads and reports like the original one claiming 40% of bikes are untaxed, are extremely unhelpful!
