So the worst appears to be over.
I have been following twitter all through these depressing times and finally we can now see that the majority of the country thinks there is no excuse for behaviour like this. Very few bleeding heart liberals on Twitter worrying about the future prospects of these thugs.
So, the silent majority now has a voice!
After the mindless destruction and aggravated burglary across our capital as well as copycats in other towns and cities, what more do we need as proof that the younger generation have grown up with more rights than responsibilities.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not trying to tar everyone with the same brush and the rioters were not all youths. But knowledge is spread and learnt from peers, so if someone gets away with an illegal act without being punished, then their mates know, then their mates tell their mates and their families until we get to a point where those that want what they can’t afford decide to hijack a protest and just go and take what they want.
Never mind the countless people who have been left homeless. Never mind the people that may lose jobs due to businesses being burnt down and not reopening. Never mind that businesses will avoid these areas thus making unemployment worse.
There have been many people injured in these riots. Some people have died. People who were trying to protect their communities, or were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I would like to see anyone found guilty of rioting, charged with murder. They have all played a part in the death of at least one person.
Here’s a tip for the police. Don’t spray water cannons. Use the ink used to boobytrap money and mark the wasters for weeks. Easy for the law abiding community to see those responsible and report them.
And what if an innocent person gets sprayed? What are you doing there? If you’re wandering around wanting to see the action but not get involved, you’re just as bad. Go home and let the police do their job.
A lot of people are asking where do the parents of the kids think they are. Where indeed?
My mum was person I was most scared of as a kid. The way kids seem to talk to their parents these days is disgusting. We need to get back to a place where parents demand respect from their kids. If my mum told to me to stay at home, I stayed there.
People are talking about the fact that kids have nothing to do and boredom has driven the rioters. Again, what a load of rubbish. I grew up in the arse end of nowhere with an hourly bus to what was once voted the most boring town in England. I didn’t feel the need to loot then set fire to the local shops because I was bored.
Let’s get this straight. These riots are not about having no jobs, disengagement from society or any of that bleeding heart crap. The riots were an excuse to get some free stuff and cause mayhem. Anyone involved is nothing more than a thief and a thug. Dregs of society. There are no excuses for this behaviour.
