This is a beautiful song I’ve only just recently heard on the radio (sometimes I turn off the Christmas songs I’m practising!).
For those of you that don’t yet know, James and I split up in March.
I will go into more detail about what happened when I am ready to do so, but in the meantime, the following link might give you a flicker of an insight into why I had to leave him.

This isn’t the first time he’s decided to go off and meet another woman he’s met on a social media site, in fact the first time was the catalyst that set our marriage on course for failure. So the fact he’s doing it again and so soon after we split up (this time it started just 1 month after our split and continued during a period when I was contemplating our future due to being asked to consider trying again) and up to last week he was still claiming he loved me… well if this is love you can shove it right up your arse because I deserve a whole lot better.
Most of you will know that I see the majority of religions as a form of communism but today the Pope has really pissed me off, so this rant will be aimed at the Catholic Church.

The pope has decided that ordaining woman priests is as grave a situation as paedophiles. What century does this guy live in?
Why is he so afraid of moving his religion into the modern world and why do discrimination laws not come into play?
How can allowing woman priests be anywhere near as grave as abusing children?
The Catholic Church is one of the most wealthy organisations in the world and that is all they care about. Progress be hanged. No change can be good etc.
I would ask all Catholics out there why they still believe in a church that knowingly covers up paedophilia and wants to oppress it’s woman – and they have the gall to have a go at Muslims for oppressing woman.
If you want to believe in a religion then please choose Buddhism. It is the only religion as far as I can see that actually believes in bettering yourself and observing tolerance.
Better yet, why not just believe in God and leave religion out of it?
It is with great sadness that I have been reading the Have Your Say column on the BBC news website. The level of ignorance displayed by so many is quite frankly frightning. The inability of some to seperate the emotion and the politics demonstrates how ignorant many of today’s young people are.
I for one give thanks today, on Rememberance Sunday, to all those people who have given their lives or suffered injury so that I have the freedom to write my own thoughts down and publish them for you all to read.
I thank my Grandad for helping the Atlantic convoys supply food to Britain during WW2, I thank my Nan for the work she did as a Firefighter for her road whilst living in London during WW2, as well as the thousands of others who fought alongside them to keep our ‘freedom’ in tact.
I also thank those men and woman who continue to give their lives without question, to create what will hopefully be safer environments for everyone.
Today is not a day for politics and those that are unable to seperate the two, should keep quiet.
To all those that have died or been affected in the course of serving their country, today I thank you for your sacrifice and I can assure you that myself and others like me will ensure that Britain never forgets.
I have always been a supporter of the poppy campaign as I believe we should all acknowledge those that have given their lives in the name of our country, regardless of their beliefs.
It was brought home even more so this evening when I got a phonecall from my mum letting me know that the husband of a family friend was killed in action at the weekend in Afganistan.
I spent quite a lot of time with Chrissie when I was growing up due to my brother and her brother being best friends. I haven’t seen her in probably 20 years but this is absolutely tragic news and would like to pass on my condolances to her and her family.

Since I’ve gotten older, fireworks have lost their magic and I think after tonight, I have realised why!
Last week I bought tickets for me and James for King Coels Kittens firework display in Colchester’s Castle Park, and tonight, on a relatively warm November 5th evening, we went along.
We started out with a hot dog (well, James had a hot dog AND a burger) then went and found our chosen place to stand in Upper Castle Park. The park was suprisingly empty at 6:30pm – the gates opened at 6pm. We listened to the local radio dj’s trying to get the crowd involved, culminating in a procession of the guy being led to the bonfire.
After the fire was lit, and there was a bit more the silliness with the DJ’s and then fireworks started.
After years of watching people running about lighting fuses with each firework going off seperately, I wasn’t expecting much. How wrong was I? I didn’t time it but I would imagine there was 20-25 minutes of solid fireworks to a soundtrack of Abba (yay) and Michael Jackson (meh). Not only that, but there were a lot of amazing fireworks in the mix – and I hadn’t seen a lot of them before.
It was an amazing display and I don’t begrudge the £7 per ticket we paid as you would be hard pressed to find a better display! Not only that, the organisers arrange to give a lot of money to different local charities.
Well, I am! I have spent a little bit of time cleaning up my amateur dramatics directory website, and it is now doing really well for one of my main keywords!
“Amateur Theatre” is now listing my website at number 9 in Google UK, number 1 in Yahoo UK and number 4 in Bing UK! Not bad going really!
My main task now is getting people to click onto the link – not something they seem to be doing so I am guessing that either the domain name is putting them off, or the description tag is just not enticing enough. I will have to spend a bit of time checking this out and find out why people aren’t clicking…
We walked over to Highwoods Park tonight to watch the Perseid meteor shower…unfortunately due to the ridiculous amount of cloud cover and the incredible amount of light pollution we didn’t get to see it. But we will try again tomorrow night!
We also saw a slightly podgy hedgehog outside our front door – I think he was eating a snail! He’d obviously finished by the time we got back as he’d disappeared. And I didn’t get a photo…
I feel like we are finally getting somewhere with the flat in Colchester…still a long way to go, but the skip is nearly full of crap – I’m sure we could both fill another 2 but hey, it’s good going so far for two hoarders!
